EHAJ was created following the devastating loss of a loved one and the recognition that many communities in Jamaica face significant delays in accessing emergency medical care.The organisation was founded to help create lasting change through emergency preparedness, community response initiatives, public education, and improved access to emergency healthcare resources.

 

Is EHAJ a registered organisation?

 

Yes. Emergency Healthcare Access Jamaica (EHAJ) is a registered Community Interest Company (CIC) in the United Kingdom. Company Number: 17222249

 

As a CIC, EHAJ is structured to operate for community benefit and social impact rather than private profit.

 

What does EHAJ hope to achieve?
